Is Pickleball the fastest growing sport?

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States right now according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA). The sport has acquired worldwide traction, with increased participation in nations such as Canada, Spain, and Australia. While other sports may be growing in popularity, pickleball’s climb in popularity in recent years has been spectacular.

Pickleball, which combines aspects of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, is the newest sport to reach new heights. According to the USA Pickleball website, Pickleball, which was invented in 1965, has witnessed a sudden surge in popularity in recent years. Often referred to as a less strenuous form of tennis, many people engage because it is so enjoyable and straightforward. Pickleball’s popularity has increased by 650 percent in the previous six years, according to the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA). Pickleball enables leisure and competitive racquet sports players to enhance their shotmaking, footwork, and game organizational skills while creating a fun, innovative hybrid game that appeals to millions of men, women, and children of all ages and abilities. However, since Pickleball is played on a smaller court than tennis, it has a lower physical effect on the body, allowing players to enjoy the experience for a more extended period of time.
